The Motor Trade Association of WA has warned West Australian's that any move to charge Heavy Commercial Vehicles a toll to use the extensions to Roe Highway will spell the start of a comprehensive introduction to tollways in WA.

The MTA WA through the national representative body the Australian Motor Industry Federation (AMIF) has been working hard on behalf of members to develop a voluntary code for sharing repair information. Members can be assured that MTA WA and AMIF have made no agreement on the voluntary code and will not do so until members have been fully consulted.

A Wangara motor vehicle dealer and its sole Director have been ordered to pay a total of $17,000 in fines and costs by the Joondalup Magistrates Court (on 16 April 2014) for failing to follow the rules regarding the sale of a vehicle on consignment.
