The MTA WA proudly attended the opening of Australia's first Tyre Museum/Peel Tyre Service's 21st Birthday celebrations last Thursday among a large crowd of supportive guests.

Owner/Operators Robyn & Matthew Cook have worked relentlessly to build up a dedicated following among the Peel community, with clients even venturing from the Perth metropolitan region for their famous services.
As part of the celebrations was the grand unveiling of Australia's first Tyre Museum. Among the priceless collection were hundreds of pieces of Australian automotive history. The collection, largely amassed by Matthew had guests fascinated as they trawled through decades upon decades of memories.

The Peel Chamber of Commerce were in attendance, paying tribute to Robyn and Matthew's business and Robyn's philanthropic endeavours. Robyn pioneered the 'Ladies Happy Hour', a fundraising activity that encouraged women to take an interest in their vehicle's tyre pressures, fluid levels etc whilst providing $5 per person to the Cancer Council of WA.

Both Robyn & Matthew's recognition is very much deserved, as they have crafted a position not only within their local community but in the Tyre Industry within Australia.

MTA WA Group CEO Stephen Moir spoke of the drive, persistence and compassion of the Cook family as he unveiled their commemorative plaque. Robyn was recently appointed to the Motor Trade Association of Western Australia's Board, which is a testament to her contributive spirit and industry expertise.

Peel Chamber of Commerce and Industry GM, Andrew McKerrell also acknowledged the influence that the business had on fellow peel businesses, with Members of citing Robyn and Matthew as a source of inspiration.
